THE STORY SO FAR
Nothing is as it first appears...
In a world where magic hums through the very air we breathe, aether is an important resource to any budding healer or wizard. Even those whose goal it is to conquer the power of weapons over spells can benefit from an influx of aether, lending their skills to the less battle-ready in their quest for power. The most cunning brawler can twist and use aether to their own means, boosting their stamina and enchanting their weapons for an advantage on any battlefield.
The Winter Rose is a quaint tavern and inn nestled on the beautiful flower-studded hills of Lavender Beds; a quiet retreat for weary adventurers in need of rest and a strong drink… A lovely establishment wholly unprepared for the chaos a simple remodel unleashed. On a stormy night, while rain pelted the rolling green hills and angry grey clouds rioted overhead, the wayward strike of a pickax changed the course of The Winter Rose for the rest of time.
With a vicious roar the dark earth rocked and rolled, trembling as it cracked open to release a bubbling stream of aether-infused water. The suffocating magic flooded the inn and surrounding earth, brightening the inn into a tempting beacon for anyone seeking power. The good and the wicked, the strong and the weak started to flock to The Winter Rose in their quest for power.
Battles raged, Betrayals rang through the once peaceful hall. Murder and intrigue caused the proprietors to act quickly and efficiently.
Invoking an ancient and mostly forgotten spell, the magic of Judges, those who ran the Rose made it impossible to enact violence within the main halls without spoken agreement and intent by all parties involved beforehand.
This new spell pushed the violent acts of deception and plotting to the outside and back rooms, keeping the main hub a safe haven for any who would venture there.

Neutral ground, a place where good and evil come to meet without the threat of persecution or violence… at least while the eyes of those who run The Rose is upon them.
For those who venture beyond the safety net, and those who seek to plot and overthrow the keepers of the aether well? There is plenty of darkness and adventure to be had.

Specialty Drinks
The Twelve themed drinks discounted during the moon they represent!
Halone

First Astral Moon
This shockingly strong drink is a mix of herbed energy bolstering frozen water, absinthe, and fine whiskey. Three sugared spears are dipped into the ice when served as a nod to the goddess herself. If left in place, the sugared mock weapons will slowly melt into the drink and imbibe it with a hint of sweetness. This robust, strongly flavored drink leaves any who imbibe it with the energy and liquid courage to take on any battle!
Menphina

First Umbral Moon
There is nothing common about the pale, shimmery house-made liquor chosen to commemorate the goddess of love. Presented on a stand to keep it balanced, this drink is served in a round crystal goblet modeled after the moon. The light handcrafted citrus an and jasmine flavors are subtly sweet and uncommonly refreshing; it is a sweet, romantic mix that can be served ice-cold or as a hot spiked tea. It's the drink of choice for anyone who wants to feel otherworldly or just a little enchanted.

Thaliak

Second Astral moon
Sometimes known as the drink of schollars or the quill, this fine drink is composed of four simple ingredients in equal parts- gin, Campari, absinthe and sweet vermouth, the Thaliak is a slightly bitter drink meant to be sipped rather than consumed quickly. It is said that those in search of knowledge have most often had an epiphany when half way through one of these fine, full bodied drinks.
Nymeia

Second Umbral Moon
Milk made out of rice,  vanilla and cinnamon serves as the base for this sweet drink, which is shaken with vodka over ice and poured into a martini glass. Topped with a single Nymeia Lily, this intricately spun drink pays clear homage to goddess of fate.
Llymlaen

Third Astral Moon
Surely this drink must befavored by the goddess of navigation herself! Crystal clear rum presented in a pitcher of ice. Offered with an oversized glass adorned with frozen shells and fruit that will chill the hearty booze for as long as you wish to sip it. A glass of sweet pineapple juice is chilled on the side, and can be added as desired to sweeten the rum.
Oschon

Third Umbral Moon
A drink from as many places as the Wandering deity did travel to, and those his followers believe particularly blessed by his visiting. Simple enough to mix together all the ingredients one after the other, and stir. Ishgardian Brandy to warm you from the great god Oschon's winds and plenty of flavor to keep your wanderlust burning within, every sip a new experience. A single miniature arrow pierces a citrus peel and cherry to garnish and stir your drink further, reminding us all that there is more to life than even the greatest think if we add a little twist of our own.(edited)
Byregot

the Fourth Astral Moon
Coffee and whiskey shaken over ice give this smooth drink a jolt of energy, as if one were struck by lightening! Topped with a sweet dallop of vanilla flavored whipped cream that can be stirred in to cut the strong flavor, the Byregot is sure to get your blood pumping so that you can tackle whatever job lies ahead!
Rhalgr

the Fourth Umbral Moon
This drink starts with a vodka base, and is composed with vodka base, Pinot Grigio, Citris juice, limoncello and a mystery berry that gives it its dark black flavor. The complex drink looks stormy and foreboding, which is a perfect compliment for the god of destruction that it was made for!
Azeyma

The Fifth Astral Moon
Amaretto topped with high proof Lominsan Rum creates the keeper of the sun's drink strong, dropped quickly into a glass of your favorite beer serves to create a delicious drink to leave you asking the goddess of inquiry just how'd it get so damned good?
Nald'thal

The Fifth Umbral Moon
Nald'thal is all about balance, and right in line with that we have a drink that walks that line- Spiced rum black as the underworld he keeps met with the caramel finished Averna, splashed in with the bittersweet sweet vermouth meets grated nutmeg freshly sprinkled on top for a cocktail so in between bitter and sweet even the tenth god's scales can't measure which wins.
Nophica

The Sixth Astral Moon
Starting simple like a lot of good recipes, this one takes hard work and careful consumption. Something we believe would go hand in hand with the great goddess Nophica's farming life. Where things differ is we'd have no one but her choose the finest apples used to mix in and make apple pie moonshine from the largest yields of corn, where so much, can make so little in such a powerful drinks. A single stick of cinnamon is to be served with each, just to remind us of that back on the farm life Nophica's scythe means to those of hardworking upbringings.
Althyk

The Sixth Umbral Moon
For those who keep the past, and those who seek the future, no god better serves their favor than Althyk who's kept his hourglass handy for both as they wile away the hours in their diligent study. Just like his hourglass, this drink is designed with as much force as his great axe- and just as precise. Absinthe named for the great god himself served with three sugar cubes slowly dissolved in a test of the drinker's patience serve to pass the hours in conversation, debate, and activate the drink's effects, effects sure to leave you just as curious where the hours went.
